Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

The car is the Roadster version of the Murcielago coupe it was released in 2004  and was primarily designed to be a open top car.The car has no hard roof it has a manually attached soft roof.When the soft roof is present the car should not exceed 160 km/hr.The car price starts from $ 319,000.

The car has the same design like the coupe version without the roof.The car is a two seater sports car without a roof (Roadster).The car has a manually attached soft roof is to protect from adverse weather conditions and cannot be used during speed over 16o km/hr (100 mph).The soft roof can be stored in the back trunk of the car.The scissor doors present on the coupe are also present on this car the scissors doors on this roof less car looks more attention grabber than those on the coupe.The front and rear part are streamlined more than the coupe version while still having the same design.This is achieved by re designing the car rear pillars the design inspiration for the rear pillars was from an yacht.And the front wind shield is also redesigned to be more rigid and streamlined.

The newly designed 18 inch one piece alloy wheels allow for more powerful brake rotors.But the 355 mm front and 335 mm rear disc brakes were efficient enough to stop the Murcielago during high speeds comfortably.So Lamborghini although the chance for using large diameter disc brakes were possible they had opted for the same diameter disc brakes.The tyre’s are almost the same from the coupe version.The anti roll bars are changed and are inspired from Audi A4 cabriolet.

The car has the same engine 6.5 litre V12 configuration engine which serves the coupe version the only difference is the new engine cover.The engine produces 573 hp at 7,500 rpm and torque output of 650 Nm at 5,400 rpm.The car has a top pseed of 199 mph(320 km/hr).Where as the coupe version had a 205 mph top speed the reduction in top speed was due to the increase in drag because of the lack of roof.the car reaches from 0-100 in 3.9 seconds.Carbon fibre ceramic disc brakes are standard.The weight of the car is 4100 lb.

Bugatti Veyron was in the top spot as World’ fastest Production car in the world until October 9,2007.SSC Ultimate Aero TT had a production run of only 10 units and was made to dethrone Veyron from the number one spot.Ultimate Aero had power output of 1,287 hp.The engine has 6.3 litre displacement and V8 configuration is used for the cylinders.The car has a theoretical top speed of 270 mph (430 km/h).
