Ducati 1199 Panigale S is more advanced than the standard 1199 Panigale but both these bikes share the same Super Quadro engine and the engine power and torque output remain the same.We have already reviewed the standard Ducati 1199 Panigale.So we are here reviewing about what the standard 1199 Panigale does not have and what the S model has.
Both bikes looks the same.One can only differentiate these two bikes with the Letter ” S ” inscribed with the 1199 Panigale sticker.The front forks are more gold in color which is a small differentiation between the two bikes.
The wheel size remains same but the design of the alloy wheels is different the standard Panigale has 10 spoke alloy wheels where as the S model has three spoke alloy wheels.
Both the front and rear suspension used on this bike are supplied by Ohlins.The front suspension is Öhlins NIX30 43mm with TiN, fully adjustable usd fork. Electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment.And the rear suspension is Fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 unit. Electronic compression and rebound damping adjustment. Adjustable linkage: Progressive/flat. Aluminum single-sided swingarm.
The front and rear disc brakes remain the same as those seen on the standard 1199 Panigale.
The same SuperQuadro Engine seen on the 1199 Pangiale is carried over to the s model.The engine produces 195 hp @ 10,750 rpm.The fuel tank capacity is 17 litres.
Both the 1199 Panigale and S models have DTC as standard and ABS as optional.The price of the S model is $ 22,995.
As the name itself suggests this bike is the Tricolore version of 1199 Panigale S.The bike uses three colors Red,White and Green .The bike comes with some standard features that are available as an optional for the two other models of Panigale.The bike comes with standard ABS and DDA (Ducati Data Acquisition).DDA is used to measure lap times.The wet weight of the bike is 190.5 kg.The weight increase is due to the standard ABS on this bike.
