Lamborghini Reventon Roadster

Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is the soft top version of the popular Reventon Coupe.Only 15 cars were made and were priced at $ 1.6 milion.The car was launched at 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The Roadster has the same design characteristics of the Reventon which is inspired by Fighting planes except with the absence of a roof.The right angled triangle headlights and the acute angle arrow design at the front looks the same.The car has a rear spoiler providing aero dynamic braking and stability at high speeds.The roadster version has a shiny white color scheme along with a mild black color scheme.

The roadster version like the coupe ditched traditional gauges in favor of LCD screens and the G force meter is also present in this exclusive Roadster.

While the coupe version weighs 3,670 lb the Roadster weighs 3725 pounds a 55 pounds increase in weight from the coupe version.

Engine:

The car doesn’t use the engine used on the coupe version instead the car sources its engine from Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 Super Veloce while the coupe version sourced the engine from Murcielago LP640.

The engine has 6.5 litre with V12 configuration.The 48 valves in the engine are controlled by DOHC.The engine produces 661 hp at 8,000 rpm and 490 lb-ft torque at 6,500 rpm.The engine red lines at 8,000 rpm.The car has a 205 mph top speed slightly lower than coupe version.

The transmission is the same 6 speed used on the coupe version.The All wheel drive used on the coupe version changed which sends a minimum 65 percent of torque to the rear wheels.Carbon Ceramic brakes seen on racing cars is provided as standard equipment.
